September Wrap Up

September is done!!!

Oh my gosh.

I finished my first big proofing project, my child turned two, and I’m into the single digit weeks on counting down to when baby #2 is born.

Something new I learned with myself in proofing is I can’t help but get sucked into the stories I’m reading. I already had set this habit for myself to read through documents a couple of times to make sure I don’t miss anything. Read once to see if anything pops out immediately then go through it again to see if I missed anything the first time. This also helps when I get caught in the story and my mind doesn’t focus on the words I’m actually reading. This gives me the chance to make sure that the story even makes sense.

I’m moving forward in my switch to cutting out extra social media accounts and hoping to make creating content less painful. I’ve made a few new writer friends who all agree that making content is awful. We all feel cringe when we are trying to be creative and that can really drain a person. But maybe I can set better “creating content” habits now and actually not feel like trash about it! I’ve also started a Substack so look for updates on there as well!

These next few weeks I’m going to hit hard on finishing my current edit of my story. I want it don’t by middle of November in the hopes I can get it into the hands of a few of my friends. I need to add another 20,000 words and I’m hoping through their help I’ll be able to.

Hope everyone enjoys fall more than I have so far!

Until next time!
